Geoff Chapin

Prior to starting Next Step Living, Geoff served at the senior levels of the Bridgespan Group, a strategy consulting firm for public entities and non-profits. Clients included the Energy Foundation, The City of San Francisco, The Portland Public School District, and the Packard Foundation. Prior to this Geoff led teams at Bain & Company in the New York and San Francisco offices where he advised clients in the consumer products, telecom, and online industries amongst others. Geoff served as a teacher at his Alma Mater The Roxbury Latin School and is a graduate of The Kennedy School of Government and MIT’s Sloan School of Business. Geoff has also worked in the public housing sector at the Community Builders in Boston and advising the Housing Authority of San Francisco. Geoff is a native of the Boston area.

John Marshall

John brings extensive marketing and for profit experience to the Next Step Living team. John is President of the Princeton Review’s Test Preparation Services Division. He worked with Michael Bronner as Executive Vice President of Marketing Strategy and Enablement at Digitas, Inc., a premier global marketing services organization which was acquired by Publicis Groupe S.A. in early 2007. He was responsible for the company's marketing strategy, analytics, and technology services, serving clients such as General Motors, AT&T and American Express. John has also served as a principal with the consulting firm Mercer Management Consulting, where his expertise in marketing, internet commerce, business strategy, and shareholder value creation helped drive clients' growth.

Bruce Torrey

Bruce Torrey has been in the business for more than 25 years and has audited thousands of homes throughout New England. He is a Certified Level1 Infrared Thermographer and licensed builder serves as senior building investigator. His expertise is well known through his numerous national and local presentations and frequent contributions to trade publications. Mr. Torrey’s role as a trainer for insulation contractors, energy auditors and builders is complemented by his consulting services provided to architects, utility companies and property managers as well as hundreds of homeowners. His commitment to advancing building technologies has resulted in a better living environment for many throughout New England.

Clayton Schuller

Clayton is the Co-Chair of the Building Association of Greater Boston’s Sustainable Building Committee. Clayton has worked as the Business Development Director and in sales for F.D. Sterritt Lumber in Watertown. Prior to Sterritt Lumber Clayton worked at John Hancock as a trader in New York and at UBS Warburg in the investment Banking Division. Clayton is a Boston area native and a graduate of Georgetown University
